God Has Not Sent Me To Condemn

(Adapted from John 3:17 / 1 John 4:16)

God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world but that the word through Him might be saved!

God cherishes me. God treasures me. God values me. God prizes me. God appreciates me. God relishes me. God takes pleasure in me. God esteems me. God attaches importance to me. God reveres me. God respects me. God admires me. God lives inside of me! God loves ME!

Lord, I choose to walk in love today. I am going to treat people the way You treat me. I am going to respect and appreciate people like you respect and appreciate me. Holy Spirit, when I slip into thoughts of anger or strife or condemnation and the door begins to open for demon activity, help me bring my thoughts back into captivity of the fullness of my Father’s love. Work with me, Holy Spirit, to say things I need to say, discipline and hold accountable in love. I want my Father to be involved in and participate in my life.

No Guilt / No Condemnation

This is the first of two devotions and music videos
with the theme
"No Condemnation"
The God kind of love does not condemn!

(1 John 3:20-22)

What has your heart condemned you of lately? In what way have you felt guilty and criticized yourself? Is it something from deep in the past that keeps coming up? Is it something from yesterday? Are you feeling at fault for something you are doing right now?

Did you know you could be released from condemnation? There is a difference between condemnation and conviction. If I cannot determine the difference, I can cast my care upon the One who does know. If I confess my sins, I am responding to conviction. And conviction is the Holy Spirit telling me that I can be confident that the sin I bring to the Cross is canceled and forgiven. And he promises he is faithful and just to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. If my heart condemns me, he is greater than my heart. He not only knows about the sin, He knows the inner thoughts and intents of my heart. He knows that I love him and do not want anything to separate me from that love. We clear our conscience through repentance and then we do what is pleasing to him. Our heart moves us to do this. We begin to practice love.

Father, I cast all of my care on you. I bring my sin to the cross this morning by the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. I release the grip of condemnation because I respond to the Holy Spirit’s conviction. My conscience is cleared and I feel loved. And I am able to give love. Thank you for the power of Your love in my life.

NO CONDEMNATION

(1 John 3:20-22)

For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus

Has made me free from the law of sin and death

For what the law could not do

In that it was made weak through the flesh

God sending his son in the likeness of sinful flesh

THE CURRENCY OF HEAVEN / Oh What A Book

This is the 7^th of 7 devotions with the theme from
1 Corinthians 13:6

“Love Rejoices When Truth Prevails”

This is the impartation devotion.

Father I put away from me all untruth.

I embrace the truth.

Your spirit, the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth.

I embrace the truth of your word.

I am what it says I am.

I can do what it says I can do

and I can be what is says I can be.

(Hebrews 11:6; Hebrews 4:12)

I can take a one hundred dollar bill to Wal-Mart and redeem it for one hundred dollars worth of merchandise. Wal-mart will honor this legal tender note that is backed up by the federal government. In like manner, the word of God is the currency of heaven.

“I am what it says I am

I can do what it says I can do

and

I can be what it says I can be!”

The Word of God is our covenant with God. It is filled with one covenant after another. God is saying if you will do this, this is what I will do. The Word of God is the most powerful force on the face of the earth when it connects with faith which works by love. God is as good as His word and His word is as good as Him.

Father, thank you so much for this precious, wonderful, glorious, book - Your Holy Word. I do confess that I am what it says I am. I can do what it says I can do and that I can be what it says I can be. Your Holy Word is working mightily in me. I believe Your Word and that every word is true. I apply it to my life and I receive everything You have for me.

Speaking The Truth In Love / The Spirit Of Truth

This is the 6^th of 7 devotions with the theme

From 1 Corinthians 13:6

"Love Rejoices When Truth Prevails”

(Adapted from 1 Corinthians 13:4-6; John 16:13; 2 Timothy 4:2; Galatians 5:22-23)

When I am on my way to have what I know may be a major confrontation with the potential of accusations and strife, I will pray for the Spirit of Truth. It is amazing how that prayer, on the way, changes the tone of the meeting.

"But when He, the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all the Truth."

I also am aware in such a confrontation that the love of God is not a passive, let's-just-get-along, sweep-it under-the-rug kind of love. The scripture instructs us to

Preach the word; be instant in season, and out of season;

reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

If I am afraid that I might lose a friendship if I speak the truth, than I am inside of fear and selfishness. The love of God in me is willing to risk the loss of a friendship in order to lead someone to what is best for them and to what is good and right in God's sight.

When we pray for the Spirit of Truth to come on a confrontation we know that when the Spirit of Truth comes, all of the fruit of the Spirit will be manifested, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness and goodness, faith and meekness and temperance. Love is not so much what we are confronting as it is how we are confronting. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-6 pretty much covers it.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

My Confession: The love of God abides in me and causes me to be humble enough to receive correction and bold enough to correct and to do so with all longsuffering and with the truths of God's Word.

THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH

THE WOMAN @ THE WELL / Love Speaks Valuable Truths

This is the 5^th of 7 devotions with the theme from
1 Corinthians 13:6

“Love Rejoices When Truth Prevails”

(Adapted from John 4:16-26)

“Sir, give me some of this water so that I may never get thirsty again or have to come to this well to draw water again!”

The rest of the conversation between the woman at the well and Jesus was all about truth. It was about the truth of her life, the truth about her purpose in life and the truth of the signs of the times.

“Go and get your husband and come back.”

“I have no husband.”

“You have spoken truth. You have had five husbands and the man you are now living with is not your husband.”

“Sir, I see that you are a prophet. Our forefathers worshiped on this mountain but you Jews say that Jerusalem is the place where it is proper to worship.”

“Believe me, dear woman the time is coming when it will no longer matter where you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. The time is coming when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

“I know the Messiah is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything.”

“I am the Messiah!”

Love speaks valuable truths into the lives of everyone that love comes in contact with. Jesus took time to direct this woman to truth. He cared about her enough to confront her with truth. He took time to show her truth that would save her. Truth corrected her. And truth gave her purpose to live.

Lord, look into my heart like you did this woman at the well. Correct me with truth. Realign my life with truth. Challenge me with truth. I worship You. I worship You in spirit and in the reality of the times. I choose You now. I choose to worship You here in this world and in eternity to come. It is my purpose in life to worship You.

OUT OF HARLOTRY INTO HIS PRESENCE / Seek My Face

This is the 4^th of 7 devotions with the theme from
1 Corinthians 13:6

“Love Rejoices When Truth Prevail”

(Adapted from Hosea 2:14; 3:1; 9:2; 14:6-7)

Have I been an adulteress against my God? Have I turned to idols and gods to seek what I should be receiving from God? Do I receive words from doctors, philosophers, and politicians as truth, ignoring what God has to say? Have I been satisfied with the threshing floor of God’s goodness and prosperity instead of harvesting an entire field? Why do I settle for little when I can have more than enough to share with others? Have I been storing up old wine and hording it in fear that it will run out? Has the new wine failed me because of my unfaithfulness? Have I played the role of a harlot without being aware of it?

Daily I must saturate myself in the presence of the Lord to nullify the tendencies of becoming a harlot and seeking other gods. If I am not careful to clothe myself in the presence of God every day, I tend to look at my life and my situation and other’s circumstances like the world does. And when I think in the natural realm of the world, I take on harlot tendencies. Harlots turn their back on God and become satisfied with what they can gleam from the threshing floor of God’s goodness. Harlots have no self-esteem and follow after what feels good and right. Harlots are easily distracted from the grace and mercy of God that are ever available in His presence.

Why do some people pray for healing and not get healed? Why is it that my faith confessions don’t always work? Why do prayers of desperation sometimes go unnoticed or seem to fall on stony ground? Why do mishaps and mistakes come so easily? Why do I miss the mark so much?

Father, I return to the shade of the olive tree. I return to the intimate place of your presence. Daily I want to sit under the shadow of your love. Revive me and feed me with the fruit from your presence.

“Child, I will allure you and bring you back out of the wilderness. I will speak tenderly and straight to your heart. Seek me in the quietness of my presence. You will certainly find me and in finding me you will find life.”

"Love Rejoices When Truth Prevails”

(Adapted from Romans 8:10-11; Ephesians 3:16-17)

Be blessed today with fresh manna of truth that wipes out deception and stops the constant bombardment of the world, the flesh and the enemy.

I believe the Spirit of God lives inside of me.
I believe he is present in me and ignites revelation in me constantly.
I have ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying and revealing to me today.
I am blessed in the Name of the One who gives me life through his Spirit.
I am strengthened by His presence inside of me.
Because he indwells my innermost being and personality, I am reinforced with mighty power.
I have the power to resist the enemy, to put down my flesh and to turn my back on the world.
The Spirit of God has made his home in me and I am rooted and grounded deep in his love and founded securely in his love.

Father, I want my heart’s cry to be to know and understand that you abide in me. I no longer want to be passive and unaware of your presence but vibrant to the ways you are leading me. Thank you for teaching my spirit to come alive and lead my soul, direct and instruct me in your ways and purposes.
