LOVE IMPARTS PEACE
by
Rebecca Cooley
(John 20:19-23; Galatians 5:22)

The disciples were behind closed doors. They were afraid. They thought they were next. Jesus walked right through the wall and sent their fears out the window! Jesus spoke peace to comfort them and gave them strength. His salutation was not just empty words. His words covered them with peace. Jesus showed them His hands and His side. When they saw him and heard him speak, they were filled with joy and fear left.

Have you ever been afraid or stressed and you read a couple of scriptures and you immediately could sense the peace of God? God's power is based on love and His love dispels fear and imparts peace. When we speak His Word, it has the same effect on us and others as Jesus' words had on the disciples that night they were hiding and so fearful. His words brought change to their hearts that night and his words still bring change today to the hearts of men.

Father, thank you for your word. Thank you for the power of your words that impart peace. I commit to speak your words of peace and comfort to others today. I receive Your peace and I impart your peace to others today.
